Everything is realistic to a point where in almost every fight I find myself in, I have to weigh my options whether to retreat or press the attack. This is what makes Tom Clancy's The Division so unique. The AI is extremely smart smartest AI I have seen ever in a game and, much of the time, extremely challenging to beat especially boss battles. This risk and reward system whether you're playing regular PvE main missions or traveling to the vaunted PvP Dark Zone, is what gives this game it's magic to constantly pull the player back in to experience this post apocalyptic era.
Regardless of the reviews, if you like role-playing based shooters with the added third-person tactical side, then you will surely love this. Ubisoft really hit it out of the park with this game and am looking forward to the sequel. Bravo Ubisoft and Massive. I liked this videogame a lot. Now a days, its becoming harder to give accurate game review because of the fact that patch after patch they feel and play differently. At launch the game was plagued with game breaking bugs which filled the gamer with rage and deception, but now it has become my new obsession. The story lacks depth and maybe in the upcoming expansions they may add some meat to the bone. I recommended, the price is much more accessible now than it was at launch which is a plus. Get's a bit repetitive. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents, is activated. It doesn't pay to be an early adopter and this game is no different. Don't get me wrong, I had a blast playing with friends but after the initial fun wears off I found me and my friends just kind of stopped playing. Oh and if you don't play with friends it really isn't not that fun. Firstly, if you like MMOs, this is an MMO, but not in the same class as say - World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy You will not see other players roaming around in this game, aside from those already in your group. As far as shooters go, this one is a standard cover-based shooter. Pretty decent, all around. Customization of gear is on the short side - not a lot of options. Graphics are great, but after a day or so of playing, every block looks like every other block in New York, the same can be said of enemy variety.
If you go into the Dark Zone, unless you know the people you are grouped with, TRUST NO ONE! People on your team CAN turn on and kill you. I've being playing Destiny for a long time and got to say thank god there's a new kid in town. The FPS gameplay is not as refined as in Destiny and the voice acting is lacking some charisma but Y1 Destiny was also a letdown but this is for sure a fun game to play. If you are not sure to buy the game my advice would be to jump right in and have some FUN! First 30 levels are quite fun and a story which gives the player enough motivation to keep going. The problem lies in the endgame where the game is very unbalanced, loot is hard to get, and exploits are taking over the pvp. It's a mess. Multiple glitches include missions not starting, players falling through the ground, many of the perks do the exact opposite thing they are designed to do, some exploits allow for talent stacking which effectively hurts pvp.
Aside from the terrible bugs and exploits the game is very unbalanced in the way it rewards loot. All the loot is rpg based that skews negatively toward the player. Getting a high gear score item is very rare, now getting a high gear score item with decent stats is ridiculously low, and finally getting a high gear score item with decent stats and perks you actually want will take you longer than the heat death of the universe. I want to like this game, but I shouldn't have to wait weeks and weeks for these gamebreaking problems to be fixed when they should have been addressed before release.
A day after the year anniversary of this game with a few bugs here or there I am still playing The Division faithfully.
