A5e Solo Gamebooks quest for 1 Level 2 PC, this adventure sees the brave adventurer enter Weathercote Wood in search of a noble's son. The local legends around this wood are full of terror Dare you enter? This is written like the classic 80s gamebooks Lone Wolf and Fighting Fantasy no DM required! Part of a series, the PC can then continue to Tyrant of Zhentil Keep, and Citadel of the Raven beyond that. We may get a small comission if you buy something using that link. At first I figured I'd be ok just searching the keyword eg.

Do the PDF versions change over time to break the links? Is there some way to update? Hey Joe As a previous purchaser you should be able to just download a fresh copy, in which the links should hopefully be working! Hope that's helpful. Can you tell me which links specifically aren't working? Connor S July 11, am UTC. So i have a question on Tile Page 1, it references Chance rolls where would i find a table for them in this book or are they in another book? Brian G June 19, am UTC. I am having trouble enjoying this, for 3 reasons. Even if i created backgrounds for my character's, I didn't feel like my characters had any personal tie-in to the story and thus really had no reason to be there.

There were a lot of scenes where I felt that I was just reading a story being told and had no way for my characters to interact with the NPCs. This led me to feeling detached from the story instead of feeling like i was a part of it. The first battle you face in the adventure is a 'deadly encounter' and almost killed my first character, and absouletly killed the other characers i sent through. I don't mind a final encounter in an adventure to be deadly, but most encounters should be difficult, not deadly. Jayme A August 02, pm UTC. These really aren't RPG's per se. just choose your own adventure so don't go in expecting to be immersed.

For that you need a more solo RPG game. Josh B June 02, pm UTC. This was a pleasure to run through. I played a variant human shadow sorcerer. Fortunately, I managed to scape through mostly due to the fact that I spent the free gp you get at the start on 3 potions of healing. I'm very much looking forward to playing the next one! I may play through this adventure against sometime because I managed to walk straight to the final boss and ended up missing most of what was going on in the story. My only gripe with this adventure is how limiting it is in terms of choices, but that's always gonna be a grim reality with solo adventures. Bonnie M June 02, pm UTC. Hello, i am interested in running this as DM, is it still possible to get the full map? Thank you so much.. i can't wait to run this. Christopher G May 31, am UTC. I love this adventure, having played it myself solo. Now I'm a DM and I want to begin my new campaign with it!

Is this available anywhere with the encounter flow in order, like a "standard" adventure module? If so, I'd love to purchase it again in that format. Joshua S February 25, pm UTC. You mention in the Adventure Guide that you can supply the complete maps if I want to run this as a campaign? I'm considering running this as a duet or a small party. M A B February 11, pm UTC. A well designed and thought-out adventure. I ran into some minor issues with broken links, and stealth consistency, but overall really enjoyed it until I 'won' and was abruptly booted out of the adventure. SPOILERS My dragonborn barbarian and elven bladesinger had fairly little trouble defeating the double HP Death Knight, after reaching him pretty directly. They really wanted to disarm him, tie him up, and then either take him back to the Red Tree or into town, not run away.

It particularly stung to leave a magic sword behind daniel S January 14, pm UTC. Hi where can I find the. mod file? Ronald M December 11, am UTC. Hello, First and foremost I wanted to thank you for the amazing adventures you have made. I love play testing new characters on them. I saw the link below for the whole map and was wondering if you had any variants of this for the sub-maps available or will I have to import them independently into roll20? Daniel C November 21, am UTC. Hello; Just so I am clear, this is designed for a single character or a party? Thank You. Hi Daniel It is designed for a single character. You could take a sidekick, but that might make the adventure a bit too easy.

All instructions for character creation etc are found in the intro. Daniel C November 22, pm UTC. Are any of your adventures structured for a small party? Amanda S October 31, pm UTC. I had a good bit of fun playing this myself but it could use a bit of editing. For example: The first stat block I saw for the BBEG did not match the ones I was given in other entries. The entry for Tile pg12 says something like you are now leaving X place when everywhere else I saw the place I was was named something different. Maybe I missed something there but it threw me off and I had to double check my steps. I would like to continue with the next part of this adventure but I'm wary of the quality after my first experience. Perhaps on a rainy day. As a new DM I did however enjoy using this as way to practice encounters. Steven W October 08, pm UTC. Is this adventure suitable for a young player? No extreme violence, torture, gore, that sort of thing? Andrew O October 27, pm UTC.

Lauren P September 01, pm UTC. I've bought the first 4 adventures in this series, and was wondering what the rules were on streaming the game that I play on twitch? Richard O. I cannot recommend these books highly enough. These books are exactly what I was looking for and the amount of effort that has obviously gone into their creation sh [ Spencer M. My son and I decided to run this together one PC where we talked about what the PC would do in the situation and move forward and had tons of fun. It took us about 2 hours to play which was shorter than expected but still lots of fun. I could see tha [ Jason P. Fantastic format and great gameplay.

Only drawback for me is I made a "wrong" turn and went straight to final encounter missing quite a bit of exploration but I loved it all the same. Timothy S. For less then the price of going to the movies, I got about 4 hours from the completed run, and still possibilities I didn't do for future runs. It ran pretty well, I mean the end of the day it's like a choose your own adventure book but with [ Amanda S.
